American Ghost Hunter – the movie

I have had the sincerest pleasure to view American Ghost Hunter the movie on each leg of the 2011 tours. During the Spring tour I saw the movie for the first time at Waverly Hill Sanatorium in Louisville, KY. I saw the movie at a very pivotal point in my life and it was exactly the clarity I needed in the moment to confirm that I was indeed on the right path for my life. AGHthemovie is the life story of Chad Calek and his family, it takes the viewer along a journey of how Chad became a paranormal investigator and shows his quest to find answers, no matter how difficult they may be or how hard they are to find. Along the journey of the film you will be shocked by what this man and his family have experienced over the years, you will be amazed by the evidence of real paranormal activity that is captured and documented and you will be affected to the core of your being by the brutal honesty and reality of this film. Not only is Chad and his family facing their “family demons”, any person who sees this film – if you have the bravery to do so, will be compelled to look inward at your own life as well. I know for me personally after I saw the film it resonated with me so deeply that I was contemplating different parts of the film daily for at least 6 weeks following my first viewing.

For the Fall tour I had the privilege to attend the tour stop in Cleveland, OH with two friends of mine who had just a slight knowledge of Paranormal State, but had shared with me previously some personal experiences with the paranormal. I also found myself at a completely different stage in life. Having begun to face my own personal demons (literally and figuratively) during the couple of months prior. What made this tour stop even more special was that I had VIP tickets and got to enjoy some real interaction with the cast, including getting to hang out on the tour bus after the event was over since I won two of the items from the charity auction (my two friends got to join me as well). The first item we enjoyed was to eat cookies with MB, Justin, Joe and Sergey. It was great to just hang out, watch sports highlights, get some close up photos of Joe’s tattoos and just get to talk with a great group of people. Heck, Sergey even gave me some lottery numbers to try. (They didn’t win though)
The highlight of the evening for me was the second auction item I won, ‘a beer with Ryan’. I actually let a friend of mine enjoy the beer, I had some Monster branded tour water and got to have an incredible private conversation with Ryan Buell. I will leave the contents of that private but let me say, Ryan is legit and really has a heart to help people.

On December 12 I, along with 8 others (my 3 oldest kids, their mother, one of her coworkers (who was going to go to Cleveland), our friend Paul, my friend Tracie and Scarlett, a dear friend of mine that played a major part in my spiritual journey this year) saw American Ghost Hunter the movie in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. I was a little bummed out by the small crowd overall that was at the Cincinnati stop. But as the event poster pointed out “Fate Brought You Here.” and I guess it just wasn’t time yet for other people to experience this film. However that time is coming very soon.
The evening was great – Chad, MB and Joe really created a family/friend atmosphere that really felt like going over to a friend’s house and not like going to a hotel to see a movie. From hanging out in the hotel bar while waiting on the AGH crew to fight Cincy Traffic, dinner, the extra videos and evidence presentations, the feature film and even the after party. It truly felt like it was just old friend and family gathering together for an evening. I am continuously amazed at the true sense of community that exists with in the paranormal and AGH familia. Again, I highly recommend seeing this film, it has had a tremendous impact on my life this year and I believe for years to come.
