Thought Quote for the day.
Marriage is not graduation. It is more like starting Kindergarten.

The Hamilton Journal-News, my local paper, has this feature in the opinion section called Community Voice. “Brave” citizens can call in to a voice mail box and leave anonymous messages that are then printed in the paper. Since I don’t even allow anonymous comments on this site I should probably just leave well enough alone but two comments got me going a few weeks ago and I emailed my own letter to the paper, which in turn leads to a call to verify that it was me and then gets printed with my name on it (three weeks later). And not only do I get my name in the paper they also write there own headline for my comments, how nice. Here are the two Community Voice messages and then my letter…
Community Voice/2-23
I AM SHOCKED to find out, by accident, that Talawanda Middle School is being used as a church.
Community Voice/2-27
REGARDING THE CALLER who said King and Ghandi were real men of God, what about (King’s) affair? Real men of God do not have affairs outside of marriage. … God’s commandment, “Thou shall not commit adultery.”
Men of God have had affairs/3-14
Regarding the caller who stated, real men of God do not have affairs outside of marriage, I am thankful that I serve a God of grace and love. A God who King David’s heart was after — despite his affair and resulting murder.
God is so much bigger than the small boxes us Christians try to shove him into. The only perfect person that changed the world was Christ and even He chose a group of 12 sinners to help him.
In regard to the caller who was “shocked” to learn that a church was meeting at a local high school, I have another shocker for you: A large number of the high schools in the area are used by churches on Sunday mornings. As a matter of fact, it would be illegal for a high school to deny a church group from meeting there. Don’t worry though, your taxes are not being used. These church groups pay a premium to use our community buildings and a lot of our schools are happy to have them.

On a lighter note… I grabbed this photo from another blog this morning. Leave your caption in the comments (prefer funny ones, but keep it clean please)…

Kinda late in mentioning it but hopefully it servers as a good reminder… There has been a memorial fund setup for Chad’s sons. You can get more info at the Chad Canipe Memorial Fund website.
It has been different in dealing with Chad’s death. The initial shock still lingers which I think is due to the realization of my own mortality. The fact that there was no warning and it was so sudden, yeah I have known a few people in there 40’s who have died of heart attacks but never a health 34 year old.
The visitation was just surreal. The crowd of people there were far too young (well young is relative, they were my age) and no ones grandma should ever have to be at their grandsons visitation/funeral. It just seems so wrong.
I regret that I didn’t know Chad more than I did, but he has definitely made a mark in my life. Maybe his death is for all of us to realize that this life isn’t forever, we need to live for the now, we need to Live Big!
But why Chad?
There have been a lot of questions lately, from me, from janet, from others that were closer to Chad. I am confident that God can handle our questions, some of them may even be answered in time. But I am confident that God can ’see’ the entire picture.
On another note, I am head deep in the remodeling of our upstairs (main) bathroom. In a way it kinda seems like an homage to Chad. (Pictures will be posted eventually)

Just learned that Chad Canipe passed away this morning.
Chad leaves his wife and two sons.
Chad will be missed greatly by those that knew him, even if just casually.

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don’t understand our partner’s requirements, or even our own. We all have a “love tank” that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
