Virginia’s Marquis Weeks caps off his 100-yard kickoff return for the touchdown. “That was just instinct. Kind of like running from the cops,” said the senior tailback.

You have GOT to be KIDDING me! How can a college athlete make a statement like this and it be ignored?
A google shows a few hits on Weeks’ quote. But most of them are “Quote of the Week” lists. I can’t believe no one made a deal about it.

The Frugal Gourmet still lives on in my grandmother. She was here last weekend, along with my mom, for my ordination. Well on Saturday morning we had french toast for breakfast made from some awesome bread we found at Jungle Jim’s. Well I made the egg mixture to dip the bread into and had some egg mix left over. Well I guess grandma got to the kitchen before I did because I just found the rest of the egg mix in the fridge in a smaller container, Janet pointed out that grandma was telling her how we could use it for muffins, etc. Anyway on Wednesday last week when they got here our fridge was pretty much bare. I am just now starting to see some shelf space. Not that we stocked up or anything, they saved every little bit of anything and stuck it in the fridge.

Techdirt:Cable Customers Told To (Expletive) Off
This article made me think of James an old Havener friend of ours from a decade ago. He has ranted about NTL a few times before.
Not sure if someone hacked them or if it was someones last day at work, but honestly how many of us who have worked support at some point or another didn’t want to tell at least that “favorite” caller where to go just once.

Too busy to post a ‘real’ update about what is going on the last few days…
My mom and grandmother are in town from Wisconsin.
I was Ordained by the Church of God Reformation Movement last night.
I am creating a DVD of yesterday’s services and need to create 25 copies to send out to people that have prepaid! Talk about pressure.
Need to run and check on dinner…

A while back (no link provided) I came across a free iPod program that turned out to be shady. People found a way to get through the system and they changed the program and then refused to follow through with people that had completed it prior to the change. Well I have seen some articles on Gadgetopia recently about getting a Free iPod and saw the
follow-up a few days ago.
Then I saw a post on geek and proud and more proof that it is legit. So I went and signed up today. Can ya help a brother out?
Get your own Free iPod.

I am tired…
I am joyously hoping that it will be November 3. I am getting tired of all this political stuff. I love political philosophy but the actually implementation tends to be rather painful. Sad to say most politicians are more interested in self preservation than the good of the country. SO basically I am only going to listen to Glenn Beck, his mix of humor and current issues with political commentary is about the right mix to keep my head safely secured in duck tape when needed.
I am also tired of driving to work. This morning I left “early” well earlier than usual and it ended up taking me an hour and twenty minutes, it usually takes 35-45. Three major backups, two accidents and one for construction. Yeah! Well I guess I could have been in an accident so I am thankful I got to work and thankful that getting to work late isn’t a big deal.
Got a bunch of stuff to do tonight/today. Have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon, got a bunch of VPN configs to work on, got to mow the backyard, move a bed from the in-laws to the house, rearrange Evan’s room, get a hair cut, put the living room back together (carpet was cleaned yesterday, WOW – looks like new carpet) and get an oil change. Not in that particular order. Donno if this will all get done today but we will sure give it a go. Need to run and eat some lunch…

The Robinson House | Battery Eliminator for Graco Baby Swing
I have bookmarked the above link, since there is a baby on the way we may need to consider this.
A couple of thoughts.
1. James is a geek (that is a high compliment as far as I am concerned)
2. James needs to stop watching “Home Improvement”.
3. There is NO WAY my wife would let me do this.
4. Minutes after the picture of the baby in the swing was taken a power surge launched him into the next room.
