You have just won one million dollars:

1. Who do you call first? my wife, duh!

2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself? I really don’t know, probably lunch/dinner at my favorite restaurant.

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else? well it would include #1, #2 and a place called Equity Diamond Brokers on Tylersville Road in West Chester. Then we would be finding a good Realtor!

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom? 1. my church 2. my debtors 3. my in-laws

5. Do you invest any? If so, how? definitely! mutual funds and a few common stocks and a subscription to TheStreet

Almost half way there….

I have visited 23 states (45%). I guess you can tell which states I have only flown to. Most of this has been driven, a number of time. And for the record, I have only been in the U.P. of Michigan.

1 Peter 3:3-4

What matters is not your outer appearance–the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes– but your inner disposition.

Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.

hi, remember me

Wow it has been a few days. I guess life is just kinda taking over again and I have neglected posting something. The new blender is still working great by the way. Sunday we got a bunch of snow and we lost our front storm door. The high wind tore it apart, fortunately the glass didn’t break but the frame is destroyed. sigh. So I guess we are looking at a new storm door once the weather warms up a little.

Got the drive way cleared from the snow on Sunday, went out for an hour Sunday night and got a good start on it, then Monday morning instead of doing the extra cardio in the morning I went out and finished the drive way (which took about an hour and a half) ended up working from home on Monday which was good because I got some stuff done that needed to be caught up and spent like half the work day on the phone, love those meetings. Tuesday I had to catch up from being out of the office and was in a number of meetings again, nice thing is I got a new project to work on with a vendor that I like to work with. Fun stuff. Janet hasn’t been feeling well the past couple of days and has an appointment today, hopefully that will give some relief. My mother-in-law called this morning to let us know that we couldn’t come out this morning, there is a busted water main behind there house and the water is running down their drive way across the highway, shutting it down. Oh fun! Got a few irons in the fire again and the ones I want to really work on keep getting pushed to the sides of the flame. But I can still see how The Lord is faithful and is supplying what I (we) need. Church has been awesome lately, missed house church this weekend due to the weather and that is always a bummer but the family time is important. Found out from the neighbor that she has sold her house and will be moving out soon, and she held out and sold the house to a young couple with a baby. I think it is time to kick the relational ministry into gear and become friends with the neighbors. The Fitness progress is going well, I get to weigh in this weekend, haven’t in 3 weeks and have a week left in my official BFL 4-week kick start. Over all I am in my 9th week and there is a hugh difference! I am excited, the changes in my body are noticeable and I am making steady progress. Tom & Janet are right “Trust the program” works! I am really looking forward to taking pictures again and seeing the difference. Better look out for this summer cause “After-Mike” is on his way and I will be catching eyes, I just only care about 2. :) Sorry this isn’t very organized, just wanted to get some thoughts down, back to work…

Number 2

Well, Tom was right. We are now on blender number 2. The new blender has an Exclusive ALL-METAL DRIVE system for extra durability. Seeing as the last one was plastic on plastic this one should last longer. So far I am pretty happy with it. Crushes the live out of anything you put in it and it cleans up really well. Lets see if this one lasts longer than a month.

– Al Sharpton, Democratic Presidential Debate in N.H.

Yahoo! News – Pete Rose to Go to Conn. for Book-Signing

A few weeks after admitting he bet on baseball, Pete Rose is going to an eastern Connecticut casino to sign his new book and dine with high-rollers.

Hey Mr. Rose

I know you don’t read my blog. But just the other day you said that you aren’t gambling any more. Here’s a little advice for you… don’t go to places where gambling is a major function, you know like a horse track, a casino, the basement of a Catholic church. Come on Pete, if you want people to be behind you you gotta make an effort. If you were an alcoholic you won’t go hang out at a bar would you?

a warm front has moved in

This morning upon waking up the house temperature was 50 degrees. The kids were all in the same room and it was 82 for them. Our bedroom wasn’t too bad as we borrowed a heater since the kids got ours. Service man was here at 9:00 and gone by 9:30 and the heat was working. The best part is he showed me what he did and the next time the part goes out I can replace it myself. At least the service call and the part cost the same amount. I hate it when you only need like a $1 part and have to pay close to $100 for a service call. So all in all The Lord has provided some relief, it is warming up and I can fix it myself if it happens again (based on the last one I should have about 2 years).

Well it looks like I am going to have to go into the office as I can’t get this application fixed from home. Now I gotta make sure someone can watch Evan, otherwise I will have to work on something else. Stay warm and have a great day.

how long oh Lord?

Habakkuk 1:2-3

How long, O LORD , must I call for help,

but you do not listen?

Or cry out to you, “Violence!”

but you do not save?

Why do you make me look at injustice?

Why do you tolerate wrong?

Destruction and violence are before me;

there is strife, and conflict abounds.

Just this afternoon as I was driving home I thought, “It would really suck if one of us got sick or something broke right now.” We got the bills covered but there isn’t much wiggle room. We are working the program the best we can but finances are like fitness, it’s a crock-pot not a microwave. So after I pick up the kids, Jae had class, we got home to find it a little chilly. So I walk over to check the thermostat and find that it is 65 degrees in the house. No problem, just crank it up and it will get warm right… nope, didn’t even kick on when I turned it up. Long story shortened, the igniter isn’t igniting. The fan comes on, the gas turns on, the gas turns off, the fan turns off. No spark, no fire, NO HEAT. Same thing happened two years ago, got down to 40 degrees in the house. If you haven’t had a shower when the room is only 40 degrees then consider yourself blessed!

Back to the title and the scripture… It is better that I have problems like this, I have a God that sticks closer than a brother. A true friend who is looking out and watching over me… Thanks Jesus!

Diet Coke with Lime

This is the best stuff in the world!!!!!!

Coca-Cola Co. has finally gotten it right! I won’t have to buy limes and hand squeeze them any more. If you or someone you know works for Coke tell them I said THANK YOU!
