a real post

Since I have just been posting articles and web links I figured I should post something real. Have had a lot of things over the last couple of days that I have wanted to write about. For some reason they all escape me right now. Just in case you haven’t been there make sure you check out Janet’s blog. The other night as I was driving home Janet read me a entry she had put up and I was so impressed by it that I started to tell her about it when I got home and was telling her about my day. Kinda funny it just seemed like what she had written had been on the radio. I listen to a lot of talk radio. Sean Hannity better look out! It is pretty humbeling to have a wife that is as articulate and knowledgable as she is.

Kids are gone! All 3 kids left this morning with grandma/pa to goto TN. We will head down there next week Thursday. But for now we are without children. And our aniversery is on Friday. Been thinking about a couple of things we can do friday and this weekend. One thing is for sure, we will be going back to NLCC for service on sunday. I could go on for awhile about stuff regarding that but let me just leave it as this – Pray for our family as we seek direction from the Lord concerning our ministry. Thanks.

The blogging world is very exciting to me, kinda like when I first started havening back in 1994.

Had an intresting thing happen last night. And I don’t mean to share it just to say hey look how good I am. Lord knows if this is a contest of works I have far to much ground to make up to ever get anywhere. Anyway, last night I went out to get Zoe’s perscription refilled so she would have enough while she is gone. Anyway, I stopped at UDF to get some ice cream. Incidently I only got something for Janet, I had a bad food day yesterday (cheese coney for breakfast, BW3 for lunch [it was wings day] and 2 big macs for dinner). While I was standing in line, and there was a big line, I overheard a man talking about his wife being in the hospital. So after he was talking to someone else in the line, I asked him about his wife and asked for her name so I could have our church pray for her. He told me about her and I asked about how she was doing and everything. Turns out she was having some heart/blood pressure problems. He thought it was due to stress and after finding out that they have 5 girls ( from 2 – 17) I tend to agree. He stated that she was doing much better, the doctors were pretty confident that they got everything under control and that no real damage was done. He was on his way home, to see what condition it was in and get some rest as he had been at the hospital with her all day. He really appreciated that we were going to pray for his wife and I told him that we would pray for him too. So if you don’t mind mention Valinda and Russell next time you talk to Jesus. After I paid for Janet’s ice cream I left the rest of the change to pay for whatever he got and left our pastor’s business card with a note saying that we were praying for them. You know that just felt good! Actually what felt good was just connecting with someone and showing a true concern for them and what they are going throught. *GASP* That is what we are spose to do as the church! WOW, being Jesus with skin on. I could go on about that for…. ever. But gotta run. Have a vendor conference this afternoon at Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse. WOOHOO!
