there are times in my life where it becomes very apparent to me that the steps of my life are truly a part of someone’s plan. experiences, relationships, opportunities, conversations - all connected and sometimes eerily so.  i think the first thing it does is confirm for me that i am in the place or the path that i am suppose to be on - the second thing is it challenges me to step it up and be more about “the Father’s business”
i wonder if that could be why my favorite tv show got canceled? i am not saying that God made CBS cancel a tv show just for me, i am saying that i am choosing to view the cancellation of the tv show as a message for me to step up.
it just seems like i have spent way too much time being distracted by things that don’t have any significance and i continue to have this urge to grow deeper…

Rep. Boehner Calls Immigration Bill A “Piece Of S*%t”…

House Minority Leader John Boehner, speaking to a private gathering of Republican activists last night,….
“I promised the President today that I wouldn’t say anything bad about … this piece of s*%t bill,” he said, according to two attendees.

I am proud to say that Boehner is my rep and I think he is doing a fine job of representing me!

I met up with a couple of former co-workers last night for some Texas Hold-Em. Found out that one of them is retiring at the end of this week after being with the company for over 20 some years, at the age of 51. He said that there are a lot of little reasons that lead him to just being sick and tired of the rat race where he currently is but the real and biggest reason why he is retiring, “Because I can.”
He has no debt, including his house. His wife has a good job that she loves (she is a school teacher) and plans to work for another 10 years or so. And he just happens to have a buddy that is getting ready to open up a Golf Pro Shop and he wants to give that a shot for a while. Way to go Dave! Congratulations!
Talk about a motivator to get our financial house in order.
