Well the walking has hit a snag. Our 1.5 mile walk route has been block due to some construction work. Guess it is time to fire up the tread mill at home. Also need to get a new pair of walking shoes or at least new insoles (is that the right word?)
We had a great service yesterday at Journey. If you weren’t there make sure you check out the podcast from this week. (and if you email me I’ll give you the super secret location of some of our house worship band tracks). Tom did a good job talking about sex and the fact that the church needs to talk about it more, it was God’s creation after all - that the evil one has taken and destroyed to a lie in our current culture. I really think Tom will need to do a whole series on the topic of sex because one message just didn’t give enough time for the areas that he covered; parents, singles, married.

i have continued my walking during the week, Friday i walked with someone new and we completed the 1.5 miles in 27 minutes (it was the fastest he had walked it) and today i rejoined my regular walking mate and we hit 24 minutes. that means we only have 1:30 to shave off to keep from getting shot - my shins were burning not even half way into the walk today.
In other news, the AP is reporting tonight that the former home of Johnny and June Carter Cash burned down today.
Johnny Cash’s longtime lakeside home, a showcase where he wrote much of his famous music and entertained U.S. presidents, music royalty and visiting fans, was destroyed by fire on Tuesday.
Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, lived in the 13,880-square-foot home from the late 1960s until their deaths in 2003.
…
Parts of the landmark video for Cash’s song “Hurt” was shot inside the house.

Keith Matthew “Matt” Maupin (13 July 1983–) is a United States Army PFC captured by Iraqi insurgents on April 9, 2004 while serving in the Iraq War after his convoy came under attack by rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire near Baghdad, Iraq. On June 28, 2004, Al Jazeera reported that he was executed by his captors who shot him in the head. On June 30, 2004, an Army spokesman said the video showing Maupin’s alleged death was “totally inconclusive.”

so i was working on a project tonight for work, really it is for work. we have like six of these in the office.
well instead of using expanding foam, i thought that hot glue would make a better seal (it does btw) and therefore give MORE POWER!!! Arrh! Arrh! Arrh!
well i ended up dropping a glob of hot glue (from a high heat hot glue gun) on my left index finger. Not thinking i grabbed a paper towl and wiped off the hot glue, along with part of my finger - can we say instant blister. it is a decent thickness, down to the pinker skin. We i have it wrapped and have some pain releaver in my system so it is time for bed. night.

No walking partner today so I was back up to 27 minutes. Almost didn’t walk today as I really didn’t feel like it. But I feel great better now that I did.
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Aaah-ah,
Ah-ah, Ah-ah, Ah-ah
Does anyone catch my goofy allusions in the post titles? Does anyone care?
